Suze Bos: ‘That it all worked out is, of course, extremely nice’
Suze Bos was the best in the 1.10m final at Jumping Amsterdam this morning with the seven-year-old Love It. She rode in the jump-off to the winning time of 29.19 seconds. Suze kept Thomas van Wessel with the 14-year-old Picobello behind her. He also stayed clear, but was 0.20 seconds too slow. Renate Beuving finished third with six-year-old Maranja Bella. The combination also crossed the finish line without any faults, setting a time of 29.74 seconds.
‘You still have to do it, of course’
Suze is very happy with her victory. ”It went very well. It was an exciting jump-off though, but it worked out well. Love It is a fast horse so I knew I had a chance, but of course you still have to do it. The fact that it all worked out is of course very nice.”
Preparation
”In preparation for Jumping Amsterdam I trained a lot. I rode the selection show in Bunschoten. Unfortunately I was not selected for the final. From Anemone I got a wildcard and that’s how I got in.”
Love It not long under the saddle
Suze has not been a combination with Love It for very long: ”I have her for over a year now. She belonged to my mother’s best friend so it was nice that we already knew her a little bit. In two weeks I will ride at the Utrecht Championships. Of course it’s nice if I ride well there too, but we’ll see.”
