Britney de Jong: “He put on his earbuds and went for it.”
This morning, Britney de Jong claimed victory in the KNHS Para Dressage Trophy with her 18-year-old Caramba N.O.P. (by Tuschinski). The pair scored an impressive 78.892%. Hot on her heels was Frank Hosmar, who guided Alphaville N.O.P. (by Sandreo) to a score of 77.900%. Loes Cevaal took third place with Happy Hero II (by Hohenstein), earning 77.400% for their performance.
A Flawless and Balanced Test
De Jong was pleased with her ride. “It went pretty well. He was a bit tense, but I was able to ride smoothly. I didn’t expect to win. My goal was to deliver a flawless, balanced test, and I succeeded. Then I just wait and see what the result will be. I’m happy with the score.”
‘Caramba Loves Everything About This’
“Caramba is 18 years old, but he’s still super fit and absolutely loves everything about competing. At events like this, his ears perk up, and he’s ready to go. I really enjoy working with him.”
‘The N.O.P. Status is a Fantastic Added Value’
“Caramba has the N.O.P. status, and that doesn’t add any extra pressure for me in the ring. I think it’s a fantastic added value that he has this status. He always performs exceptionally well, and he truly deserves this recognition.”
Goal: European Championships in Ermelo
“This year, I want to compete in some great events with him, and I’ll do my best to qualify for the European Championships in Ermelo. This is my second time competing at Jumping Amsterdam, and it’s such an amazing experience to ride in this arena.”
