Bethany Vos: ‘I never say in advance that I’m going to win’
Bethany Vos won the 1.20m at Jumping Amsterdam this morning with 17-year-old SBS’er Asterix. The combination rode a fantastic jump-off and set the winning time of 26.87 seconds on the scoreboard. She was 2.5 seconds faster than Marianne Wortel with the 12-year-old KWPN Golden. Marée Jansen took third place with the 15-year-old KWPN gelding Dialinde.
‘I want to win as much as possible in the Children this year’
Victory in this class came as a surprise to Bethany, ”I didn’t expect it to go so well. I’m often zero with him, though, so I did start the jump-off feeling good. I never say in advance that I’m going to win. I did plan to have a very fast jump-off. I want to win as much as possible with Asterix at the Children this year.”
Riding for the first time at Jumping Amsterdam
Bethany rode for the first time at Jumping Amsterdam today. ”I’ve been there many times as a small child, but I’ve never ridden there before. I really enjoy riding here and it’s a very nice competition. It’s a super experience for me.”
